Sixth months ago I told you that I had become a smoothie bowl convert. I’m not an everyday convert – a quick, drinkable smoothie is still the way to my heart on weekdays. But, on the weekends, my smoothie puts its party dress on.

In my opinion, the best part about smoothie bowls is the fun that you get to have topping them. I mean, how pretty are they?

A few of my favorite toppings include:

  • Coconut flakes
  • Fresh berries
  • Chia seeds
  • Bee pollen
  • Cacao nibs
  • Banana

Another great thing about smoothie bowls? They’re super nutritious and filling. I love sneaking in some extra fiber, protein and omega 3’s by throwing a spoonful of hemp or chia seeds in there.

This bowl is totally customizable. Don’t like blueberries? Use raspberries, strawberries or blackberries instead. Looking for some more fruit flavor – Choose any flavor of yogurt that you like to add some additional flavor – Peach yogurt with strawberries would be amazing, as would vanilla yogurt with raspberries… We’re talking endless possibilities here.

Have you jumped on the smoothie bowl bandwagon yet? What are some of your favorite flavor combinations?

  1. This is beautiful, Erin! Smoothie bowls are my jam. I love Greek Gods yogurt so I need to check out this one ASAP. And also, I love those spoons 😉

  2. I totally dig the smoothie bowls, especially in summer time. I always seem to have problems making them thick enough when I make them at home, but maybe yogurt is the key! These are beautiful. I love the colors!!
