How To Make Eggnog From Scratch:  1. Heat milk, cream, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt to a low boil. 2. Whisk together egg yolks and sugar.

3. Add ¼ cup of hot milk to the eggs to temper them, whisk, then repeat once more.

4. Combine tempered eggs with milk mixture and cook until slightly thickened. 5. Refrigerate until chilled.
