Place cut mushrooms in a bowl and toss with olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt and pepper.
Preheat air fryer to 400-degrees.
Place mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Air fry for 10 - 15 minutes, tossing occasionally, until crisped to your preference.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Wipe the mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt, then dry them very well before tossing them in the marinade and air frying.
Make sure the mushrooms are cooked in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Overcrowding can lead to steaming and, ultimately, mushy mushrooms. Air fry your mushrooms in batches if needed.
During cooking, don’t forget to shake the basket a few times so all sides of the ‘shrooms can be exposed to the hot air.
Keep an eye on the mushrooms towards the end of the cooking time. They’re done when they're juicy and tender on the inside and golden brown and crisped on the outside.
