Why you'll LOVE this Shrimp Cocktail Sauce:

INGREDIENTS for Cocktail Sauce

– ketchup – prepared horseradish – fresh lemon juice – ground black pepper – hot sauce – Worcestershire sauce

How To Make Cocktail Sauce:  Add all of the ingredients to the bowl and stir to combine. Finish off your sauce by tasting it. You may want to add additional lemon juice, hot sauce, etc. to taste. That’s it! Enjoy!

Why is it called cocktail sauce? Cocktail sauce was invented by TV personality and British chef, Fanny Cradock around 1967. She originally created the sauce to serve with a prawn cocktail. Hence the name “cocktail” sauce.

Tip: I recommend leaving the homemade shrimp cocktail sauce in the fridge for 1 or 2 hours after you mix it together. This time gives the ingredients a chance to wake up and mingle, resulting in a well-rounded, full-bodied flavor.
