French Bread Pizza

Simple Ingredients 

– 1 loaf soft French bread Sauce: – garlic & olive oil – crushed tomatoes – thyme Herb Topping: – basil leaves & oregano – garlic & fennel seeds – crushed red pepper flakes To Finish: – whole milk mozzarella – fontina & parmesan cheese – sliced pepperoni – salt and pepper

Make the pizza sauce by sauteing the garlic in some oil in a saucepan. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer. Turn off the heat and remove the thyme sprigs. Make the herb seasoning by combining all ingredients.

Cut the loaf of French bread in half, then each half into 2. The bread needs to be flattened so place a heavy cast iron skillet on top of all 4 slices and press down. Next, toast the bread.

Assemble: spread pizza sauce on each slice and top with the 3 kinds of cheese, pepperoni, and herb seasoning. Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbling, then enjoy!
