This Aviation Cocktail recipe combines crème de violette, maraschino cherry liqueur and a bit of lemon juice for a perfectly sweet and tart cocktail that’s as pretty as it is delicious.

INGREDIENTS for an Aviation Cocktail

– 2 ounces gin – 3/4 ounce maraschino liqueur – ½ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice – ¼ ounce Crème de Violette – Maraschino cherries (for garnish (optional))

HOW TO MAKE IT: Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker, shake well to combine.

Combine ingredients  in a cocktail shaker  filled with ice.  Shake well to chill.

Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with cherries.
