This Peach Smoothie with Pineapple and Mint Smoothie is a refreshing way to start your day! Pineapple, peach and pear combine with fresh mint in this tasty treat.
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I’m a big fan of meal delivery services like HelloFresh, Blue Apron and Sun Basket. I love that the ingredients are delivered right to your front door and all you have to do is the fun part – Cook! I’ll typically have a box delivered at least twice a month. This week I discovered a new-to-me delivery service – Greenblender. This box is all about the smoothies. I’ll tell you what, they can get really creative with a blender.
I’m a huge fan of smoothies in the morning, generally taking whatever fruits I have on hand and throwing them into a blender with a bit of greens (like spinach or kale), adding in some sort of liquid (almond milk, OJ, cranberry juice) and hoping for the best. I’ve come up with some favorites over the years, like this Cranberry Orange Smoothie or this Green Goodness Smoothie, but I was totally up for the challenge to take on some new combinations with Greenblender’s help.
Here’s the deal: Greenblender ships you all the fresh ingredients you need to make five different smoothies (each smoothie serves 2) along with the recipes. The recipes in my box included a Orange Rice Creamsicle, Red Pepper Citrus, Tomatillo Take Over, Spiced Cinnamon Cider and this Peach Smoothie that I’m sharing with you today.
So, the big thing I noticed right off the bat is that Greenblender is adding some ingredients to their smoothies that I never would have thought of – Like the veggies. I’m used to throwing greens in my blender, but they’re making smoothies with summer squash, red peppers, and tomatillos. Take the Spiced Cinnamon Cider for instance, you’d think this one is pretty straightforward – Apples and cinnamon right? Well that’s not all – They’re throwing collard greens, a yellow squash and walnuts into the mix. The squash actually worked well in there – It gave a good texture and took on the flavors of the other ingredients. The only thing I didn’t like about this smoothie was their addition of apple cider vinegar – I know that it has great nutritional benefits, but the tartness of it with the collard greens was just a bit too much for my taste buds.
This Peach Smoothie however was right up my alley. Right off the bat, the pineapple had me – I’m a huge fan of it and I add it to most of my morning smoothies. I loved the brightness of the pineapple with the sweetness added by the pear and peach. And then, to top it all off with some fresh mint just made this smoothie so refreshing. To give a bit of a nutritional boost, there’s some acai berry powder and pumpkin seeds added in as well, which I love. If you don’t have those on hand at home, try throwing some chia seeds or hemp seeds in there instead. Also, I may consider throwing some spinach into this smoothie next time I make it, just to get some added veggies in there.

Peach Smoothie Recipe
Peach Smoothie with Pineapple & Mint
- 1 cup pineapple
- 1 peach (pitted)
- 1 pear (chopped)
- 5 sprigs mint
- 1 tsp . acai berry powder
- 1 Tbsp . pumpkin seeds
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup ice
- Place ingredients in blender and process until smooth.
In the market for a great blender? I’m absolutely obsessed with my Vitamix. It’s a bit of a splurge but so worth it in my book. It will last a lifetime and the cleanup is so much easier than with traditional blenders.
