Today I’m going to share with you one of my favorite dishes that I love grilling up when summer comes around. Alabama pork chops.
Perfectly juicy and tender pork chops take on all that smokey flavor from the grill and then they’re served with some Alabama White Sauce (also known as White Barbecue Sauce) on the side.
- Mayonnaise – You can use regular or full fat mayo.
- White Wine Vinegar – Or, swap in some apple cider vinegar or red wine vinegar.
- Brown Mustard – You can also use dijon or whole grain mustard.
- Horseradish – I use the prepared horseradish sauce that you find in small jars in the condiment aisle.
- Garlic
- Paprika – Use regular paprika. Or swap in some smoked paprika for added heat and smokiness.
- Salt & Pepper

That’s it! You may even have all these ingredients on hand already.
Plus, you can whip it up in just a few minutes. Meaning that these grilled pork chops are perfect for weeknight cooking!
How to make it
- Make the Sauce: Make the White BBQ Sauce.
- Marinate: Pour half the sauce into a casserole dish or ziploc bag and let your chops marinate while you preheat the grill.
- Grill: Once the grill is hot, sear the chops for about 10 minutes per side (or until they reach 145-degrees F).
- Enjoy: Serve with remaining sauce on the side.

How to grill pork chops
- Heat the grill to 450-degrees.
- Cook for 10 minutes per side, or until a meat thermometer reads 145-degrees F.
- Let rest 3-minutes before serving.
Note: It’s a misconception that pork must be cooked until the juices run clear and the meat is white. This results in overcooked pork!
I love using a digital meat thermometer to check for doneness. The USDA states that pork is safe when cooked to an internal temp of 145-degrees F. It will still be light pink inside.
I’m using bone-in pork chops for this recipe. But boneless pork chops work as well!
I’d say that these Grilled Pork Chops with White BBQ Sauce make the perfect, easy summer meal. They’re quick to prepare and definitely easy to devour!
