15+ Ideas of What to Serve with Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 4 Tablespoons butter (divided)
- 4 cloves garlic (peeled and thinly sliced)
- 2 cups white rice
- 3 cups chicken broth (or bone broth)
- ½ teaspoon salt (plus more to taste)
- 1 Tablespoon flat leaf parsley (minced)
Instructions
- In a large sauce pan, heat the olive oil and 2 TBSP butter over medium high heat. Once the butter has melted, add the garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until it turns golden and becomes fragrant.
- Add the rice and toast the grains for 1 minute, until it becomes translucent.
- Add the broth and salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15-18 minutes, until the rice is tender.
- Remove from heat and let rest for 5-10 minutes. Fluff rice with a fork then stir in the remaining butter and parsley. Season with additional salt, to taste. Enjoy!
