Delicious Side Dishes for Fish

These are some of my favorite tasty side dish recipes to serve with seafood. I’ll usually pick one based on the type of fish that I’m preparing:

  • Fish tacos are amazing with these black beans.
  • Grilled salmon calls for some Roasted Sweet Potatoes.
  • French fries are a great side dish for fish sticks (don’t forget the tartar sauce!).
  • But my sous vide salmon is just begging to be served with a rich, creamy side dish like this Lemon Risotto.
  • And fish cakes are great with Vinegar Slaw.

Ingredients

  • ½ head red cabbage (shredded)
  • ½ head green cabbage (shredded)
  • 1 carrot (grated)
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Add cabbage and carrot to a large bowl.
  • Whisk together apple cider vinegar, honey, olive oil and salt. Pour over cabbage mixture.
  • Toss well to combine. Season with additional salt and pepper, to taste.

Notes

In place of the cabbage and carrot, you can use a 16-ounce package of shredded cabbage mix.
