I feel like the summer is sneaking away… I want more patio time. More time for grilling. More icy summer cocktails. I’m determined to make the most out of the month or so of summertime that we have left. I definitely need to grill up this, this and this one more time before summer is over, and I’m working on my cocktail game too.

I’ve been playing around with more and more wine cocktails lately – Sangria, Aperol Spritzes, and Kalimotxos. I like the fact that they’re super refreshing, served on ice, and easy to sip while soaking up the sunshine outdoors. Today, I’ve got a new one to share with you…

This Strawberry Sauvignon Blanc Cocktail is like summer in a glass – Fresh strawberries, a squeeze of lemon, a teensy bit of vodka for extra fun and a splash of soda water for some fizz, all combined with a citrusy, herbal New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It’s pretty easy to get a little carried away with these and just sip away on them all afternoon… They’re almost like a grown up Strawberry Lemonade.. With more personality.

The wine I’m using is Sauvignon Blanc – with grapefruit, acidity, minerality and fresh cut grass. It’s a crisp, clean wine that makes it the perfect pairing for the strawberries and fresh lemon in this sparkling cocktail.

I’d highly suggest making yourself a Strawberry Sauvignon Blanc Cocktail before summer is over. It’s the perfect pairing with a chair in the sunshine and a good magazine on a warm afternoon.

Ahh love this! May actually have to try some of this out – it looks so so so pretty and yummy! I love love love trying out stuff like this! Literally I’ve been dying to have a cocktail night – and this is just so perfect! I did one of those cocktail masterclass things – mine was at a place called Rofuto ( http://rofuto.co.uk/cocktail-bar/masterclasses/ ). And I decided to have my friends to show off what I learnt and everything but I realised I need to actually have a decent amount of recipes to choose from, hence the late googling for inspiration! So this is a great find for me! Plus how pretty does it look?! I’m obsessed! Can’t wait to try this out (and photograph it of course).
